This project was a very short exploration of engineering as well as interaction and motion design. I was asked to choose an animal, and recreate its motion using acrylic as a medium. I chose the stingray after being inspired by this stingray video on youtube.  The mechanism itself was inspired by a famous kinetic sculpture that I thought captured the movement I was looking for perfectly.
